    Default Gameboy Advance Multiplay?

    Does anyone know if there are any GBA emulators out there that allow internet connecting?

    Me and my friends want to trade pokemon gained on our roms.

    VBAlink allows for this, although I can't vouch for it's performance since I barely use it.

    Its actually quite slow unless you're running off LAN.

    I've never used it except over LAN, so I wouldn't know anything about that. But I doubt it's speed matters all that much for trading pokemon.

    Get VBAlink from here:
    http://vbalink.wz.cz/

    How to use the singlecomp version?

    * Download VBALink (source or binaries)
    * Unzip it to a folder like c:\games\vbalink
    * Start two (three, four) VisualBoys at once
    * In Options/Emulator, uncheck Pause when inactive window
    * You don't have to turn off the sound like in tgb - only the active VBA produces sound
    * Setup all the things, like controls, save paths & so on
    * If you want to use save files, you must rename them - the save file extension for VBA #1 is .sa1 (e.g. Pokemon Ruby.sa1), for #2 .sa2 etc. (the same is true for savestates - #1 has .sg1 etc.) - another solution is to import them, that works too.
    * Enjoy!

    How to use the LAN version?

    * Download VBALink (source or binaries)
    * Unzip it to a folder like c:\games\vbalink
    * Setup all the things, like controls, save paths & so on
    * Each player opens VBALink and goes to Options/Link/Settings.
    * Check "Network"
    * If you want better speed at the cost of slightly less stability, select 'Faster' on the slidebar (recommended for wireless Pokemon)
    * One of you must select Server and click Start
    * The others choose "Client", enter the IP address or name of the server and click Connect
    * When all players are connected, a message box with the text "Connected" will appear (at least it should :-).
    * Load the game and play!
    * When someone closes the emulator, the others will become disconnected.

    There are 2 other emulators that can be linked together on a single computer:

    Oh believe me speed matters. Once the link is made it chews a lot of processor power and if you don't have a fast enough processor then you suffer from some major fps lose.

    Oh and for the LAN connection. When each person connects the Server computer will prompt that a # of players has connected and will ask if you want to wait for more players. Not sure what happens when 4 players join since I only make a connection between 2 computers. It worked like a charm.

    Note that VBAlink will only link between GBA games and will not work for GB and GBC games.
