    Default You'd Be Amazed

The news is incredibly terrible at covering stories. A close friend of mine was killed tuesday night in a head on collision. Being as we are close friends, everyone in my group knows the real story. Too bad every news channel i watched(at least 5 of them) got some part of it completely wrong. Hell, only 1 station even said her name correctly.

If TV in Denver is anything like Australia, there'd be one or 2 stations that will cover the story properley. Over here, that would be ABC or SBS, but they don't bother with uninteresting shit like car crashes. Car crashes happen all the time, and IMO aren't even news worthy. Single people's deaths aren't really worthy of the news either, unless they died in some outlandish way.

    Fuck commercial news stations.

That's nothing, strongbad was called "Ray Madcow" after his crash.

    Of course he lived.

Well if you can call living with sat internet "living".

Here news of car crashes is only covered if:

A: somebody somehow ends up impaled on a street lamp
B: The car ends up going through someone's house, killing or seriously injuring them in the process
C: The car belonged to someone of "importance" to society.

Well that sucks, but your point is? It's been a while the news sucked.

I sort of find it a little bit wierd how we're making stupid jokes when somebody's friend has died.

    I'm terribly sorry, MondayHS.
    Francine?
    Yes Robert?
    Where are we?
I don't know. Are you pumped?
Are you kidding? I'm always pumped.

No, TV in Denver is shit. The morning Fox News crew is a bunch of fucking asshats. Trained monkeys could do the job better.

As for it being news-worthy, they fucking report it every time someone farts, so this is definitely news-worthy.

To the TC, my condolences man.

Exactly. It's funny how, say, a car crash happens, then in the 6 o clock news, it gets reported along with 10 other insignificant (Well not insignificant in a sense, but I don't watch the news just to find out about 10 fucking deaths that I don't really care about) deaths, and then the watcher feels a sense of fufillment for knowing how ten random people died and when, and feel like they know all the information in the world when the events are being discussed. IT's just fucking stupid. I would rather find out and discuss with my peers the status of wars and political decisions and whatnot, than who won the baking contest over in whoknowswhere.
