How about you tell us more information about why it won't play.

Need more than "it won't play" to help

    Yes it does.

Your bios may be corrupt, redownload and replace them.

Then after setting the date etc. make them read only for they can't corrupt.

Your BIOS is corrupt, as X-Head suggests.

Download a new set, and delete your old ones. Then, before you ever run Chankast, right click both BIOS files, and select Properties. Click the checkbox at the bottom of the Properties screen that says READ ONLY.

Chankast can't write back to the BIOS files anymore.

so after i redownload the BIOS, go to the DC menu and set the dates and stuff, then go to the BIOS, and set them to read only?

So Chankast was happy after all? Taste the rainbow.

    Sorry for that.

    Yes, you did.
But ChanKast plays about half of the games available for the DC, so until another emulator, like DEmul, is developed to where it can play most games, people who own a real DC, like Astaroth, are going to continue to recommend a real DC over ChanKast.

And they do have a point: a real DC is fairly cheap, and as long as it's PAL or NTSC that was made before Oct 2000, you can play burned games on it without needing a mod chip.

If you want to find out more about DC emulation, then read this, if you haven't already:
