    halo by far because of the multiplayer. my friends and i have spent countless hours getting pissed off at each other because of that game. On top of that, i really dislike hack and slash games because of how repetitive they are.

    Same here, the only FPS I play is Time Crisis.

    I can't compare both, too different genres.
    But I can choose between genres, I don't like FPS games that much, action/adventure are more my kind of game. For me Halo is just another FPS game and GoW os a notable action game, my vote goes for Kratos.

    Halo = snorefest.
    God of War = button masher.

    The real difference between the two is that I enjoyed God of War.

    God of War. Halo/2's an average shooter. God of War actually had some personality and fun to it.

    GOW2 not in my hands yet, so I can't talk about the SERIES. I was not the least bit interested in it, though, 'til a few weeks back, maybe... Maybe... 'pends on how similar it turns out to be to the first one.

    Now that I've played God of War I can easily say that it is so much better than Halo 2!
    A fairer comparision? God of War vs Devil May Cry
    Halo vs Killzone? Just some suggestions.

    God of War, as I'm not a big FPS fan (besides which, I thought Halo was no more than a good FPS anyway, and didn't see what set it so far aside from the rest). Though to be honest, I don't really like either series all that much. I've played about half of the first Halo, and about half of the first God of War, and never really felt like pursuing either series much further. Neither are even close to being system sellers for me.

    There is no fair way to even compare these games. It's like asking which is the better movie, Hostel or Sleepless in Seattle. They are two completely different genres. They both have their strengths and weaknesses, but these are because of different reasons.

    Yeah, but the question being asked isn't which one is better. Just which one you like more. And things don't have to be similar to be compared on such a basis.
