    Default Problem with 2 ISO's

Hello. I have 2 problems. I downloaded torrents for Mortal Kombat Trilogy and Street Fighter Collection for PSX, but I cannot play them in ePSXe. I have 1.60 of ePSXe, and use Pete's D3D Driver 1.76, P.E.Op.S. DSound Audio Driver 1.9, and SaPu's CD-Rom Plugin 1.0.

Mortal Kombat has sound, but no music. SF Collection has sound and music, but neither of these let me do anything, as in anything I press in not registered in-game.

Mortal Kombat Trilogy is an ISO, and SF Collection is BIN and CUE. Help would be greatly appreciated!

    R4L

EDIT: I tried other ISOs, and the same result, I have no control. I can set them in the gamepad configuration, but I cannot use a controller to play, or keyboard.

Have you tried mounting them to a virtual drive using an application such as Alcohol 120%, then using the "run cd" option in ePSXe? Or perhaps using an older version of ePSXe? Some games aren't compatible with 1.6 and require 1.52.

It's always an option, trying pSXFin instead of ePSXe.

EDIT: Don't think this is the most recent version, but it'll do: http://www.ngemu.com/psx/psxemu.php?action=get&id=459 ... You will use the BIOS and memory cards you already have in /ePSXe/. Good luck.

    Wow thanks alot guys!

OK, so I tried PSXFin, but to no avail. I tried mounting the images and playing them from CD-ROM but nothing. Where can I find 1.52 of ePSXe?

Try pressing F5 while the game is running.
F5 changes which input mode ePSXe uses.
If it doesn't work, then press F5 again; keep trying for at least 7 times, as there's 7 modes.

You can also go to the sound options in ePSXe and check all the options such as Enable XA sound and CDDA sound.

ePSXe does it right with the controller settings by letting the game choose the conroller mode like it would with a real Dual Shock conroller if you choose digital/analog in the conroller settings so if he doesn't know about pressing F5 then I doubt that's the problem....and what do you mean there's 7 modes? The only thing that F5 does is swich from digital to analog (and back again) when you have that mode selected in the conroller settings. If you want to use a different mode you have to select it manually as far as I know.

I think he meant that it switches between Digital/Mouse and those other ones that are on the list.

As for the F5 button, it works!!!! The FAQ was telling me to press F4, but thanks for clarifying that to me.

    You're right about that.

The help file doesn't mention it but the readme does:
The keys F5 and F6 have a new function. F6 is used for select a pad,
and F5 will toggles digital/analog mode on the selected pad.
I had only read the help file before; didn't even notice the readme in the docs folder until now.

I read the FAQ on their website. I guess they need to update that a bit eh?

They haven't updated in a long time as far as I know. Oh and I was rereading the post and noticed you said that pSX didn't work either. Did you just not get the emulator to work or was the same conroller issue? I'm asking because pSX's staff likes to get compatibility reports to see if anything needs fixing.

It worked, but not like I needed it to. And it didn't play Doom, Final Doom, or Mortal Kombat Trilogy. Must be bad ISOs.

    Those ISO's are probably fine.

    pSX can't play them yet:

Try playing them with ePSXe or PSXeven.
