Default Having N64 controller input problem, help us out?

Dudes, I got some adapter for the N64 controller and it works fine in some ways but...when I use the analog stick on the N64, it's movement speed is slow.
To double check, I played Sin and Punishment, a game where it is all about the analog stick. I played with the keyboard acting as the analog stick, and analog speed was quick and nimble.
When I played with the N64 controller, this was definitely not the case. It goes sooo slow; same with Goldeneye, same with Banjo Kazooie.
Is there some way to have it recognised as a real N64 controller? Currently it's a 4 axis 16 button controller in the Game Controller menu on the Control Panel.
I've been using both PJ64 and 1964 and have had the same problem.

Are you using any controller plugin?

There is an Adaptoid controller plugin that comes with Project64 that you could try. Windows however will always recognize the N64 conroller as a generic gamepad so there is no way to change that. If that doesn't work try NRage's plugin and increase the sensitivity and see if that works.
