Question ffinal fantasy 9 fmv problem on ePSXe

Im playing ff9 disc 1 ok but i can only get to the dali village/cargo ship fmv sequence when it freezes and the music stutters. From this point all controls are locked and i can't continue, all i can do is shut down ePSXe.
    im using:
    ePSXe v.1.6
    petes D3D driver 1.76
    scph1001 bios
    my system is:
    amd sempron 3000 1.8ghz
    1gb ram
    G-force fx 5500 256mb
    xp pro
If any one with any ideas or had similar problems, i would love to know,
    Cheers dudes:

    downgrade to 1.5.2
then once you've passed that part go back to 1.6.0

if you're going to play final fantasies it's best to use 1.5.2, so just use 1.5.2

Not sure, might be a compatibility issue. If it's not fixed with 1.5.2 try pSX 11.0/pSXFin.

Could someone post more details on this issue? b/c I told my friend who was having the same problem to switch to ePSXe v1.5.2 and he said it didn't work for him.

Default I had the exact problem and this is what i did...

all you have to do is go in and change the video settings to the fast setting if you are using any of pete's plugins and then play the game, usually it will be in a very small resolution...just let it play through the video and it should work for you...it did for me at least. then when it got through the video i just saved and reset the video plugin back to the settings i had before and reloaded up at the new save. Funny though, mine kept hanging up in the same video sequence. but that should let you by that video, im using 1.6 and other than that its worked fine.
There will always be someone greater...
