Default Euro image files run slower for me than other regions.

For some reason, SSF runs European games slower. I have an american version of Christmas Nights that runs at full speed, but I have a euro version of Nights that runs a bit slower. Is there a region hacking prog I can use?

    Is it 10 fps slower?

If so it's normal for PAL games.

Anything pre Dreamcast ran on 50 mhz which runs in 50 fps.

You can repatch the Saturn ISOs back to 60hz using Saturn Region Patcher (SRP). That'll make 'em run at 60HZ

he's playing it on an emu so there is no need for that, if he was playing on a console i still wouldn't suggest that course of action.

Well, how can I tweak SSF to run the euro games at the same speeds as other games?

Well, I tried the Saturn Region Patcher but now SSF doesn't recognize that the game is actually a game.

It's actually best not to do that. The Euro games were developed to run at 50fps rather than 60, and a lot of them will have problems if you change the speed to 60.

Hell of a lot smoother to just get the US/Jap release instead.

PAL discs are formatted to run at 25 fps and NTSC 30fps. Interlaced scanning gives the illusion of double the frame rate, it's the field rate that is equal to the mains frequency of the region.

PC monitors are a whole different can of worms, they use sequential scanning and operate at different pixel densities. If you have the option, you may set the fps to whatever you like, or to whatever your video card and montior supports, for PAL or NTSC.

I live in a PAL region, and I personally can't tell the difference between 50fps and 60fps in ePSXe, though it's said that when Americans come to Europe, they can usually see flicker on a PAL TV, that the Europeans can't.

There is defo a diffrenece I had an interneational tv in the uk.
and 2 versions of lots of games on pal and ntsc versions of the consoles.

    The pal games are slower.

I tested the thoery on sfa3 on psx,
and guilty gear and a whole bunch of other games.

Only really counts for anything predreamcast
mots dreamcast games had a 50/60switch,
    and theres pal 60 now.
