Question I have game pad problems with epsxe

I am having trouble with my game pad when running some iso's on epsxe.
games like parasite eve and resident evil 2 work fine but other games, such as, grandia and dino crisis seem to have the d-pad all screwed. (i.e. when you push right nothing happens and when you push down it moves diagonal down and right).
    My system is:
    1.8ghz sempron 3000
    1 gig ram
    Gforce 5500fx graphics
my game pad is a playstation 2 style usb rumble pad from GAME.
    I would love any suggestions...cheers

Try to configure the emulator again in the gamepad section. Make sure you have the buttons set correctly.

You may have to switch the gamepad modes. (F5).

I made sure the buttons are set correctly and tried all the different modes but its still the same. I did notice that in order to get any life from the d-pad at all, the analogue button on the controller must be switched on. Dunno if that means anything?

just re-installed game pad, cleared and re-configured in epsxe and all seems fine now. WEIRD....cheers
