Default Good Deal -> President's Day Sale

At Office Depot you can get a 250 gig external hardrive for 50 bucks, it starts out at 150 but there is a 100 mail-in rebate.

Just thought I'd spread the news

I.e., you need to have the $150 when you go in, therefore it's not $50.

point being, in the end you only spent 50 bucks to get it. Sad thing is that when i went to get mine they were all sold out My friend's sister works at office depot, so I would have been able to get an additional 10% off. If they weren't sold out the final price would have been 35 bucks after I got my rebate.

Why did they have to sell out so fast?!

I remember seeing one last year someone on this from finding one for 49 cents or something like that.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. You've still got 2 more chances left to get one for cheap once the retail chains have their Memorial Day & Labor Day sales...if you can wait that long, that is...

Amazon or Newegg or something made a pricing error, and if you ordered before it was fixed, they had to honour their price.

Actually, i.e = 'id est', FYI. 'Id est' being Latin for 'that is', used in the sense of 'that is to say', or 'in other words'. So Banned is right ("In other words, you need to have the $150 when you go in, therefore it's not $50.")

    ...

You see things like this are why I have no friends.

Thats true. Even mail in rebates take weeks to months to get back. My T-mobile phone rebate took about a month to get back.

But anyway thats not a bad deal. I got a 250 gig westgate for $150 (no rebate). Now I wished I saw this.
