Whoever suggested Mindless Self Indulgence.. You rock.

On another note, check out these bands...
I've put a link to a song by each band to give a preview to them I suppose...
We Are The Ocean - England - Post Hardcore - Nothing Good Has Happened Yet
    One Day As A Lion - America - Funk/Punk - Wild International
For The Fallen Dreams - America - Hardcore - Brothers In Arms
Every Time I Die - America - Hardcore - Wanderlust
    The Damned Things - America - Power Rock/Rock - We've Got A Situation Here

And these are two Aussie bands that you have to check out.(Links to Facebook pages)
Vanity Riots - Vanity Riots are a Sydney based band, that are glam rock meets metal and the stage presence Monica brings to each show is mind blowing, they have one song on their page but they are releasing more stuff soon. They're performing on the 14 of October in Sydney, so if you're around, you should check them out.
City Of Ghosts. - Currently recording their full length album, if you are in Sydney and you hear they're playing, go check em out, Matt and the boys have done a superb job with their sound.

Reggie and the Full Effect - Pop punk, electronica, alternative rock, indie rock, post-hardcore, Hardcore punk, Metalcore. He kind of goes all over.

The new or old Green day? I don't like what Green Day has become, they used to be cool. I can't stand The time of your life. The song makes me die inside every time I hear it.
If you haven't heard Green Day's old music, I would suggest listening to their album called Dookie.

Recommendations: The New York Dolls- an early 70's band, they are considered an precursor to punk. They sound a bit like the Rolling Stones.
Velvet underground-an band from the sixties and seventies, their music is gloomy. Their songs are about drug addiction and things like that.
voice of the Beehive- they're a band from the late 80's. Their music is very retro. Their music is underrated.
