Default The Misadventure of Tron Bonne - ePSXe and PSP issues

I'm having some problems playing the Misadventure of Tron Bonne on my PSP and ePSXe. The problem is that the game tend to hang during voiced cutscenes. The music keeps going but the game just stops and the next text box is not displayed. And I have the same problem on both ePSXe and my PSP.

So I thought it might perhaps be a faulty ISO. I can't find my own copy of the game so I cannot make an ISO myself to see if that works. So I'll just ask: have anyone here actually been able to play Misadventure of Tron Bonne past the intro fight versus Glyde?

FYI, I got the ISO from SnesOrama. It's an IMG with a CUE and CCD. Perhaps that might be the problem... BIN ISO might work better, I dunno?

    Please help me. ;O

Hmm, could I ask if you have scanned it yet? afaik I can't remember seeing any issues with that game

Edit: Seriously I've let myself go as far as knowing about these things go

With ePSXe, Tron Bonne freezes at certain points during the game for most people, although some people claim to have solved the freezing problems using various methods.

Read through what it says here and see if you can find a solution that works for you:

Scanned for bad sectors, Theo? Nope I have no idea how to do such a thing...

Thanks SegNin but it doesn't really help me. I should have said that I want to play it on my PSP and not using ePSXe. Do you know if this problem have been tracked down to the NTSC version only? As soon as I find my PAL copy I'll make an ISO out of it myself and see if it works...

Something is fishy here I tell you. Why doesn't it work on the official Sony emulator? Really makes me believe there is some ISO issues here...

I thought you were trying to also play it with ePSXe:

I don't know about PAL since I don't have that one.

And it is possible the Sony emulator has the same issues that ePSXe and (AFAIK) all PSX emulators have with Tron Bonne.

You could try the latest version of pSXfin. Or maybe SSSPSX?

When it didn't work on my PSP I figured I'd try it on ePSXe just to see if it works. Could have been an ISO related problem. That's why I mentioned it.

All emulators have the same problem? Wow this is weird...

I believe they all do (maybe CVGS plays it though?)

I did find this, which seems to confirn that it is an emulation issue:
    http://www.gamerspress.com/index.php...ibility_List#M

It's listed as "Megaman Legends: The Misadventures of Tron Bonne" and it says "Crashes after Tiesel gets kidnapped just before you start the actual game."

Well that's too bad... And the EU version of MML2 seems to have problems as well... Hopefully that is a PAL issue. Currently downloading the NTSC version of MML2 and I hope I can play it on ze PSP.

Oh well, guess I have to skip Tron Bonne until Sony manage to fix the problems in their PS1 emulator.

    Thanks for your help SegNin!
