    Default Aspirations for the future?

I'm sure we've had a thread like this before. Or many similar ones. But, having somewhat managed to quit being extremely depressed over the last year, I've found myself seriously thinking about the future again for the first time in a long, long while. And I was just curious as to what people wanted to do with their lives, both in the short term and in the long.

Do you have any goals, whether small or large, that you're pursuing this year? Or throughout life in general? Is there stuff you'd like to do before you die? Do you have a specific career you'd like to pursue, things you'd like to learn or own, or places you'd like to visit? What do you live for? Sex? Fame? Money? God? Personal fulfilment?

Great thread. Me, I wish I had more free time from work. Not that I don't like my work (writing), but there's so much I find myself working overtime way too much. Brings me to exhaustion. That's something I got to think about a little before deciding anything.

Another thing is that I'm trying very hard to stop using snus (mouth tobacco?), but it's really hard. It also smells cat-piss, and doesn’t make me look extremely handsome P). I've been off for about a week at most, but I can't sleep when I'm off - seriously - no sleep at all.

That's the two biggest things for me to do something about in the near (hopefully) future. Making changes, actually. As for a more light-hearted stuff, I want to buy like 50 PS2 games I want still don't have the originals of .

I don't know. I'm just now, at the age of 27, realising that I enjoy writing. I guess I'd like to take some classes and do something in that vast field. I've also always wanted to go back to art school, so maybe one day I'll get over my fear of rejection, and try my hand at that.

Really though, I'm not sure. I guess the most important goal, is to live a good life, and make my loved ones happy. Or something along those lines.

Well, my goal this year is to NOT get nailed for Use-Tax...
    Stupid government...

Actually, I'm currently saving to buy a house... I'd like something in the $120-160K range..

I've had the same goal since I was 17, to become a computer animator, whether it be freelance, or working for a studio. I've been teaching myself how to do this for the past 5 1/2 years because I can't afford to go to the Art Institute right now (not at 20,000 a year for 3 years).

A Good Portfolio speaks more than any schooling...not that school hurts, either...

If the people arround me are happy, I'll be happy too.. I'm not really pursuing any special goal this year. Well, learning other languages is something I always liked to do, but I don't see myself doing it anytime soon :/
In the short term, you'll excuse me if I say I'd like to get a Wii, after more than one month trying to get one in my area with no luck I feel more than frustrated :/

In the long term future I am not sure what I would like to do. I want to finish up college and get some sort of degree that I can put to use. Don't really care what I end up doing as long as I am happy doing it.

Short term, I would like to finish downloading 24 season 6.

In the very short term, I would like to finish this paper that I am working on.

I plan to get laid more than anyone has ever gotten laid. I'm making considerable progress. Anyone want to give me a hand(job)?

Err, I really have no aspirations. Perhaps completing school with a decent degree or scoring a sweet raise/promotion at work. But beyond that I'm pretty much set.

Yup, just a nice constant stream of awesome for this guy.

As of right now, I am pursuing a Chemical Engineering degree at the University of Louisville. I am also in Triangle Fraternity in which I hope to hold a position in starting this April.
