Default Help! Can't load Super Robot Taisen Alpha 2 on PS2

Ok, I downloaded the Super Robot Alpha 2 iso and burned it to a Sony DVD-R.

I load it with Swap Magic 3.6 Plus using normal load and special load options, but it loads up a black screen and won't go any further.

I tried using zoneloader 0.5 as well, but no luck.

Does anybody have any advice on how I can fix this?

Other back-ups and original discs work when I use swap.

Not every backup works with the Swap Magic, no matter what the version. I couldn't find any compatibility information either way regarding this game, so it may be that it just doesn't work.

What speed did you burn it at, and what brand media did you use? That can be a factor, so let us know and we'll try and help you further.

I used Sony DVD-R brand media and burned two discs :

One at 4X speed and another at 1X speed using DVD Decrypter.

Did anybody else get this game to run on their PS2?

How big is the TOC? If it's bigger than the SM DVD TOC it won't load unless you refresh the TOC with a bigger TOC game.
If you don't know how to do it, check this link:

    Ok, Ill try that.

    Thanks.

Hmmm, PS2 redirects to the browser screen after the TOC refresh.

Ok, tested the TOC refresh after removing the memory card, but I have the same problem.

Wondering if there are any newer versions of DVD zoneloader on the Internet now?

So, is there anything newer than Zoneloader 0.5?

Really don't wanna chip my PS2 if I don't have to.

I dunno if you are refreshing the TOC right, how big is the game you want to run and what's your SM version?
Try to make a search in google and don't forget to add to your search query what's your ps2 model (the original one or the slimline)

    CD/DVDloder could be an option:

2.5GB? It's not a TOC issue then. The game was either a bad image, you're burning it incorrectly, or it's just plain incompatible with the Swap Magic DVD.

I'd suggest that if it doesn't work this time around, you consider giving up. It seems that you've exhausted all of your options.

Thanks for your help guys. Nice to see people willing to give time to help a newb.

    Quick question.

Has anybody loaded Super Robot Taisen Alpha 3 using swap magic?

Don't want to go through the same problem as last time.
