Yes, it's DoDonPachi. One of the most infuriatingly addictive manic shooters out there. There's an immense feeling of satisfaction to driving a boss down into the red and then KOing it with a laser-bomb to push your combo above 200 hits.

Using bombs is lame,
plus it takes away from your bonus.

Using them normally? Yeah
Using the beam version the second you drive the boss' health bar down into the red? Spikes your combo count like mad. Right up there with Giga Wings reflector shield for getting crazy points out of a boss fight.
