Shall we try the game name written right down the left and right sides of the very screenshot itself? Hitogata Happa (ヒトガタハッパ). Gods, but that was a sad showing on my part.
Dont look anything like any of the Touhou games,
    apart from the Curtain Fire.

    I dunno what it is,
but I want to play it.

I suppose the maniac shooter genre (or whatever it's called) is more general, but the only ones I have seen at all before this one was posted were all by Touhou, so...

Well, here was a link to a demo in a blog I found, but no luck on someplace to buy it. This may be useful, but...how much Japanese do you speak?

EDIT: Well, if German's your thing, there's this, but not only do I not know how trustworthy or untrustworthy they are, they've overpriced the ever-loving jeebus out of that thing. The makers are selling for ¥1000 at events according to their website, or around €6. Seriously...

Funny, I posted a thread talking about this game a while back I thought it would've been slightly obvious. If not then title would've given it away anyway. Which it did

No its not Touhou, that be too easy otherwise =/

Yeah I couldn't be bothered hiding the title

    New rule. No more Japanese.

OK, here's mine. And just to make the poor little, beleaguered Cheezy feel better about himself, it's not Japanese.

Sorry. But even leaving aside C&C, there probably is a game called General. That name is...ah, general enough.

Nope, but between 2 and 3, you have its release date bracketed.

Could be Europa Universalis: Crown of the North, but that's just a wild guess.

Sorry, but it's not it. Hmmm, more hints? Well, while it isn't directly a part of the Europa Universalis series, it is definitely closely related, and is from the same people. It basically covers the Victorian era from 1835 to a couple years after the Great War's end in 1920. I think...well, we'll see how those work.

EDIT: I feel sad. I chose it after CM complained about obscure Japanese games in a poorly-worded manner (does that mean obscure Swedish games are fine?), but I didn't intend it to be so difficult.

Might be Victoria: Revolutions, but that's another wild guess (and my last one for this game).
