I was counting the whole thing with the first two towns as the intro. You go to town, meet a blue haired chick, have a long drawn out talk with her, have a long drawn out dinner with her mom (Claude moves fast! What a playa), have a long drawn out talk with the town mayor, have another long drawn out talk the next morning, go to the next town over, have a couple talks with some townsfolk, break into a manor, fight one or two badguys, fight a boss (after long talk), go back to first village, have an ultra-long conversation spread all over town and over the course of a day and a half, then FINALLY be given your two characters and free reign on going out exploring the world. After that, the game is quite good.
As I was walking down the stair,
    I met a man who wasn't there.
    He wasn't there again today.
    I wish, I wish he'd go away.

Wow. It totally doesn't sound worth it.

I don't even want to begin to read the thread, but I'm going to reccomend Lego Star Wars 2, because it's on of the best games I've ever played. It's just amazingly fun and addictive.

Yeah, I have to second that. I'm sure Craig would third it. The game is ridiculously fun, especially with two players.

Although not a gold ribbon game, the Alundra series for the PSX provide a whole lot of fun if your into action RPGs.

Do try one of Nippon Ichi's RPGs. They're like nothing you've ever played; comes packed with multiple endings and a whole lot of secrets to be unlocked.

What can I say? I'm an impatient gamer when it comes to alot of blabber in RPG's.

Megalith, lots of extra's that are useful and neat? Or useless shit like some found in Final Fantasy VIII?

I'm looking for something to try on my new PC:
    2.0ghz amd athlon64 +3200 AM2 (oced to 2.3ghz)
    512mb DDR2800
ATI Radeon X700SE pci-e16 (also oced)

I'd like an Action-Adventure, a Platformer, or an turnbased RPG (like final fantasy)

    Any recommendations?
PS: NO FPS. I have too many as it is (Doom3, HL2, FEAR, COD2, UT2004)

    A little of both, actually.
But the boring/annying stuff you don't actually have to do to complete the game(s).

I think so far LaPucelle was my favorite.

The former. You get secret characters, cameo appearances of characters from other Nippon Ichi games, ultimate weapons and loads of other stuff.

    Foxboy:
    Fable. Action-RPG, looks great.
Fallout 1 & 2. Turn based (sorta turn based, the battle system is actually a lot like Chrono cross's, except you can move around in battle) 2d isometric games, considered to be some of the greatest computer RPG's of all time.
Hitman 2 and Hitman: Blood Money both have a world travelling adventure feel to them. Plus plenty of shooting people!

    I met a man who wasn't there.
