Yeah, right. So last I checked, CPS3 still wasn't emulated very well. It's been awhile though, so definitely check out Final Burn (is that still being worked on?), Mame, and whatever other arcade emulators that supported previous CPS versions to see if they've been updated. It's worth a shot.
Research. It goes a long way.
sure i'd like the upload.
thanks
Just what snkupo said. CPS3 emulation is bad. The encryption has not been "cracked yet" Lets just say its not worth it coz of the quantity of games available for that platform, "worthy enough for a programmer to invest his time and money (if I must say)" to crack the CPS3 emulation.
Also, AFAIK, most of the CPS3 games have already been ported to other platforms like Dreamcast and PS2. SFA 3rd Strike is just great on PS2
Edit: Oh and by the way, this board ain't NEVER gonna die...you hear me

The problems with CPS3 emulation run deeper than just not having the effort put into cracking the encryption. The boards are uncommon, ridiculously fragile and difficult to work with (largely because the decryption chip will kill itself it it detects tampering, and the board won't even boot without that chip. Capcom went into overkill mode on this systems security), and the decryption hardware needs replacing every few years or the board becomes useless. Hell, no-one is even sure what CPU(s) are in the machine.
As a side note, one CPS-3 game never got a home release: Warzard, quite an innovative and unique fighting game. It's probably the best suited to a home conversion (single-player oriented, RPG and Brawler elements) and was quite successful in Japanese arcades for a while, so its puzzling that it was never ported.
MVC2 is also not a CPS3 game, it runs on Naomi.
Ok, now the PS2 version is up in the Trading Post.
