Go ahead, you won't regret it

You get a really good feeling when you're able to play all the NES and SNES games that you played as a kid

Has anybody else had this problem with 3.40 OE-A:

When I load an ISO or CSO, twice today (with 2 different games) when i attempted to save it says there is not enough space left on the memory stick. When in reality i have over 2 gigs free at the moment. But then i get it to the point of actually saving and all it does is save a corrupt file that cannot be deleted. In order to remove the corrupt save, the only thing i have figured out is to format the memory stick.

If anybody can help me out as to why this is happening or how to fix it, I would greatly appreciate it.

EDIT: It just did the same thing once again, this time while playing from an actual UMD. I am guessing that this might be an error in my memory stick, but im not sure what would be causing it. I bought my current memory stick (a 4gig Sony Memory Stick Pro Duo) off of ebay and recieved it earlier today in the mail. The memory stick works, meaning i can access it from my computer via USB mode on the PSP. I can put stuff on it, take stuff off of it, but for some reason the PSP saves corrupted savegames. Is this a fixable error?

Make sure its a legit memory stick for starters, and not a bootleg.

well... the seals on the packaging i THINK are the glue seals and are far from "the size of staples", my PSP says "MagicGate Unknown" and on the back of the memory stick that "dot" that it says it should have is the letter A instead.

    That pisses me off...

Is the fact that its a counterfeit the reason that its saving corrupt files?

Most likely, yes, that would be the reason :\ Thats why i spent the couple of dollars extra and went from newegg.

Yeah, I got that one off eBay for 46 bucks, the one on newegg was 58ish. So im gunna send this one back because the dude i bought it from has a 14 day money back guarantee. So once i get my money back im going straight to newegg.

    Thanks for the help Borman.

Mind telling us what games are you playing? From what I remember, Capcom Puzzle World have problems saving on some firmwares like 3.40.

If you are talking to me, it was... Field Commander, MGS Digital Graphic Novel, and Innocent Life. Speaking of Puzzle World, I couldn't even get that to run on 3.40 for some reason, might be a bad ISO or something.

Am glad to hear you can send that junk back

Also, just so you know, SanDisk MSPDs run WAY FASTER than even the official Sony ones, so you might wanna check into that too Last I checked on newegg, 4 GB Sandisk MSPD was cheaper than Sony's (but that was a couple of months back) Don't know about now coz newegg's blocked here
