Like i promised here is a the tutorial, this tutorial is based in personal tests and Darthi8nt from ps2modz staff helped me a lot too, we added some extra-info so i think (honestly)that this is a very good tutorial.


Please use this tutorial with your ps2 fullcd based games,if you do it with dvd-rips, i can´t assure you the success because the lba tables are messed up and the game might have false TOC as well.

Some of the Oretachi games required the removal of a file named "dummy_da.wav" before they would work and I replaced any dummy files in all games with a 1gig one

I would also like to tell you that Gameshark 2 v4.0 disc (thats a CD game) works just fine when all the "CD checks" have been converted to "DVD checks" and burned unto a DVD.

I tried it out and its working just great. Codes seem to work perfectly So you can go ahead and add "Gameshark 2 v4.0" to the list too

Edit: Although I would like to tell you that I had done it a very long time back (around 6 months) and had googled up the info as to how to do it and really don't remember which programs I used

Nope, it wasn't a special check program. It was just a regular program to find and fix "CD Checks" to "DVD Checks" and vice versa, so it should work with any fixer/checker

Yes i was thinking about it, just now i´m doing a big project and don´´t have the time atm, but in the future i want to make a site with this valuable info, and some other things like japanese games translations of our own.

Alot of patchers are picked up as wooden horsies, I wouldn't worry about that, it does get annoying though if you use hacking tools that also get this kind of report, but it's because this software was made to alter files, just temp disable anti virus software temp while it's being used, a full scan could be done after if there is any worry, if needs be stay offline also when using the software
