    Default Yabause 0.8.0 DC

ljsdcdev recently released the lastest version for Saturn emulator for Dreamcast. Here is the homepage: http://ljsdcdev.sourceforge.net/

Does anyone know how to put the files on a CD to play in Dreamcast?

The emu consist of a 1ST_READ.BIN and you need a saturn bios too. I made a bootable image with BootDreams, but when loaded all i get is the Sega Saturn start screen. After that the screen turns black. Now, the saturn bios must be in the root of the CD (whatever that means) and i think this is what I did wrong.

If someone here managed to make a working disc, i really like to know.

I don't think it's fake. Others have tried it too: http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=46898

You really want to play Saturn games at 4FPS?

Maybe it only reads game disc images, off the same CD. Or it only reads the games from a CD-R?

Saturn BIOS in the root of the CD means; place the 1st_read.bin & saturn_bios.bin in the same folder, then selfboot it. I hope you did this, correct?

I was just curious how it looked on the DC.
But I play Saturn games on my PC with SSF 008 alpha R2. I believe this is the best emu at the time.

it looks the exact same on dc as it does on pc but on pc you can actually see things move instead of... frame wait an hour frame wait an hour... dc emulation is only good for up to nes imo.

I've been busy with GBA emu too (gpspDC). Some roms play good (Castlevania), others are too slow, but the sound is still terrible.

I admit I get the same I try things just for the sake of it.

It can be fun just to see something running on the good old Dreamcast

Need to buy some new CD's and get back into testing emulators myself, the last one I put any time into was a PC Engine emu, that was sometime last year or maybe even the year before that

Phantasy Star Online Episodes 1 & 2 - online quests in offline mode packs [COMPLETE]

Is this PC Engine emu (PCECast?) any good? I was about to try this one too.
There is one for DOS too - DOSBOXDC - but I haven't figured out how this is supposed to work.

DosBox is a bitch imo. I cannot get it to work no matter how hard I try. Haven't tried it on DC. Yabause DC..that'd be a laugh. Seeing PSaga running at 2fps. PC Engine's also known as Turbo Grafx right? Well I've got a disc for DC w/ 250 ROM's but there's no sound, since without sound the games play a lot better than they do with it.

Yeah Turbo Grafx is the same as a PC Engine and I can get roms to work with sound at full speed with HuCast

More info on that emu for compat can be found at http://www.screamcast.net/boards/viewtopic.php?t=161

There is also a very new PCE TG16 emu aswell PCECast now that I have yet to try.

DosBox is easy , though I only tested one game with the DC port and it ran far too slow, but that was when it first arived.

I don't know how fast Yabause is as I havn't tested the new version myself but sounds like it should work atleast running games.

I don't think it's worth trying dosboxdc. It can hardly play anything right.
