Just finished watching "King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters." It's a documentary about the battle for the Donkey Kong world record between Weibe and Mitchell, chronicling the record up until 2006 and some of the controversy that built up around Weibe's first world record breaking game, which was disqualified.

Anyways. It's a very gripping documentary, and everyone here should watch it. And ironically, at this time, neither of those two are the world record holder anymore.

Just finished (500) Days of Summer.

It was... interesting, I suppose. I generally like Joseph Gordon-Levitt's stuff, and I usually like Zooey Deschenel as well, so both of them together was kind of nice. Definitely wasn't what I was expecting, but wasn't as good as I had hoped, either. That last scene kind of made me facepalm a little. Too cheesy.

Watched Straw Dogs, the other day.

It was alright, certain scenes got SUPER REAL just like in the original.

Watched Wristcutters: A Love Story earlier today. A few of my friends recommended it, so I figured I'd give it a shot. It's about a kind of purgatory where people who have killed themselves go to live out the rest of eternity stuck in monotonous tasks, neither happy nor sad. It's... interesting, to be honest. Doesn't really attempt to glamourize suicide too much and doesn't really play as an "emo" movie, which I was kind of expecting (and dreading).

The Guard (2011) I was expecting more of a comedy as it veered into being a serious films a little too often to my liking or maybe it never really was a comedy but the trailer made it appear to be a lighthearted comedy, as a result of this it wasn't as funny as I thought it would be although there were some good lines (like the STD joke about Dubliners) and other parts just irked me a little like often the film had to refer to itself a little too often. It was still an entertaining film but nowhere near as good as say In Bruges.

I watched Cowboys and Aliens yesterday. It was actually a lot better than I thought it was going to be.

Harrison Ford is looking really old though

That's good to know because when I saw the trailer for it, it looked like a weird combination but enticing because of it. Think I might go see it next week.

Harrison Ford is pushing 70 ya know.

Just watched a movie called Ronin. Absolutely fantastic. The dialog was great and a lot of chemistry between the characters. It just flowed really well and had some exceptional realism to it (for a movie anyways) Robert Deniro and Jean Reno in particular were very good in this.

Just finished a documentary about the global economic crisis called "Inside Job." Actually pretty good, to be honest.

Yeah, I'd recommend it. Plus it has Olivia Wilde in it, so... Yeaaah.
