If you're looking for a pure PC-controller, there are plenty of USB PS1/2-like controllers available....

If you want an actual PS1 controller, you'll prolly need an adapter.

If you could find it for a good/reasonable price, I would suggest picking up the Logitech Cordless RumblePad 2...

I suggest a logitech dual action game pad. That's what I use. it's only 20 bux U.S. and if you figure it out after the adapter and buying a psx or ps2 controller you may spend that or more for your setup.

The logitech dual action gamepad is a carbon copy of the psx/ps2 controller.

I have the same controller Ktiger does. The D-pad on it sucks, but the rest of it's fine. As far as I'm concerned, a controller with analogue sticks is a MUST for PSX/N64 emulation. I couldn't possibly imagine playing N64 with a keyboard. You just gotta make sure you're using later control plugins. When I first started playing emulators, the default plugins that came with a couple of them couldn't read my right analogue stick. I upgraded the plugins and now it has officially because a C stick (when it's not a R3 or an airplane joystick in BF1942 )
As I was walking down the stair,
    I met a man who wasn't there.
    He wasn't there again today.
    I wish, I wish he'd go away.

The truth has been spoken. (I also in the begining had right joystick problems. )
