    Default WYSE50 Emulation for Linux

I'm not very experienced working in a Linux environment and I would like to set up a computer at work to learn on. The one thing holding me back is that I need a WYSE50-capable terminal emulation/telnet client for a necessary work-based program. Can anyone recommend one or let me know if there is a way to configure the default client to work with WYSE50? (The system will most likely be a Debian system, but I am open to recommendations on that as well.) Please go easy on me I'm a bit of a Linux n00b

Was the Wyse 60 backwards-compatabile withe the Wyse 50? If so than the wy60 terminal emulator should do the trick: http://gutschke.com/wy60/

The best solution for non-ANSI terminals is still to hook a real one up to your serial port, though.

I'm currently working through a dummy terminal on a serial connection to the server. While I probably could wire that terminal to the PC it defeats the purpose to use both. I think WYSE50 has to do with the number of columns used so I don't think WYSE60 is an interchangible solution.
