Anyway. About goths. If you really have to dress up like that just to express yourself and prove that you're somebody, go ahead and do it. But I find it rather pointless.

Basically, that site said that all teenagers are goths. Unless they are amish or something. Unless they were Amish Goths, which would look like this.

Nearly everyone has the desire to belong somewhere, and kids decide to start their own "tribes" by dresscode. If you insult goths for dressing a certain way or feeling the need to obtain an image, you're insulting all of humanity. (Which I wouldn't object to personally)
I'm just glad this isn't another "OMG EMO IS GAY" thing, which kids seemed to be obsessed with lately.

Don't worry it is actually a joke site, unfortunatly most americans on the "bible belt" might take this seriously, I happen to know quite a few "goths" so I know both sides of the story, and I will admit there is a bit of animosity between the two

This kid dressed up as a goth for Halloween, and he said it a bunch of times as 'a dumb goth, that's what I am' and goths fucking beat him up

Most people who we say are "goth" seem to have a propensity to wearing black and that has them unjustly labeled. There is nothing wrong abouth Goth's just like there is nothing wrong with people dressing like rappers heck even people who dress like anime characters are only expressing themselves visually with what they are interested in. It has nothing to do with not being able to express ones self if you sit around listening to music about killing yourself your not going to run out wearing pastels.

They do wish to be regarded or pointed out. No one dresses themselves up like that just for the style. Marginality is not imposed, but demanded in their case.
