I would take pictures of my (European) SNES to compare, but it seems to have vanished.
If I recall correctly, though, it and the Super Famicom look almost exactly alike, apart from the text.

Dang. The Super Famicom was quite nice-looking... Not ugly and boxy looking like the US version.
I'm going to swipe a snes when I get back from Ireland
Yep. And a lot of them ive seen seem to yellow easier for some reasonOriginally Posted by Vhailor
Yep I have noticed that too. I bet the plastic it diffrent for the diffrent regions... I also bet that the US got the short end of the stick again.Originally Posted by Borman

Nope. Its just something in certain plastics. Both in a nonsmoking home, a system that remained in a box in a dark, dry closet yellowed, while the one that was out in the sun, played with, and everything did not. UV doesnt do it.
Eh, I had one that sat near a window and direct sunlight would shine across the back on a 45 every day. After a couple years there was a big yellow triangle where sunlight would hit on the back. Plus my brother actually asked a Nintendo repair dude about it, and he confirmed UV and smoke do it.
Of course there are batches that just don't do it, you'll often see parts that aren't yellowed on a fully yellow case. Usually by the cart slot, but I've seen tops and bottoms of the cases too.

Yea, but they arent the major contributor to the yellowing. It doesnt have to even come out of its plastic to yellow and it can be where 0 light is.
Yeah that's why i had a 50/60hz switch fitted to play sf2 turbo the way it was intended.Originally Posted by Fighter17

But then Super Famicom still wins
