DVD Speed

I bought these DVD+rs that have a max speed of 4x... but for some reason I can only burn them on 6x or 8x which seems to be making every dvd i burn have issues with video playback. Its not the burner i dont think because I can burn 4x on other dvd+rs. I dont know why these wont burn at the speed they are supposed to... Any ideas to fix this problem to get it to burn correctly?

Have you tried adjusting the burn speeds with your program that you are using? With Nero for example, it gives me the option of what speed to burn a DVD before it actually starts to.

I am using Nero and when i go to the place to select the speed it only allows me to choose 6x and 8x although these cds should only burn at 4x and thats what is written on them.

Try going into the expert configuration files and changing the burn speed there. If that doesnt work, PM polobunny for expert advice.

I tried that... I tried using different software too alcohol 120 i tried i tried that NTI dvd maker thing... Its only allowing 6x and 8x. I did some forum searching and it basicly said try different software to fix it... but it didnt work. Technology is a headache...

I have the same problem... Alcohol 120% wont let me choose the speed I want.
