Pretty stupid on the part of the school.

My brother's a substitute teacher here in Oklahoma, and he has to fail students sometimes because they can't speak English, and thus can't learn from him. That's the only time it should matter what language you speak.

I think though, that the paragraph on language legislation had a nice gem. A naturalized Canadian born to Japanese parents who became an American senator tries to push a bill to make English the official language. This is Kansas, though, most infamous lately for the whole ID debate, so...well, it makes me really glad that we're not affiliated with the state.

Pathetic... With all the problems going on in today's schools, doesn't that prinicple have more to worry about than kids speaking spanish? And the idea that you can suspend somebody when they ahven't broken a rule is just retarded.
