Default rpg's/epic games of the old systems

I'm in the process of making rom sets. But I want the rom sets to contain games that I and hopefully others will actually enjoy playing.

Because of this I have chosen to go with rpg's and games of epic proportion... Epic proportion meaning that the games have somewhat of a world and story, such as:

    Actraiser
    Lost Viking 1 and 2
    Kirby Super Star
    etc...

This will also include games that are absurdly fun, such as Super Smash TV.

So it's going over a rather broad area, that's why I need some help. The list so far is:

Yeah, definantly add shadowrun, that game is great, a little bit of an RPG and a little actiongame with a point and click set up. Gold. Mario World and All star probably belongs on there (most people have both, and they are essential to every good rom set). The Mega Man X series had it's moments (give it a quick play, it's similar to the rest of the series, but it's still good). Donkey Kong Country series and F-Zero should be on there. Ogre Battle belongs on that list. Super Punch out is pretty good. I've been addicted to Metal Marines for a while. Soul Blazer was pretty good (maybe it wasn't LoZ, but it wasn't total crap). Final Fight belongs on there if you're looking for nastalgia (I know a lot of people played that, double dragon, and Streets of Rage growing up). Possibly one of the CastleVania games as well since I like them as does many others. you seem to have covered some of the best RPG's and I'm sure someone will mention some great RPG I totally forgot when posting this.

EDIT- Oh, and if you're not opposed to fighters, then Killer Instict, some Mortal Kombat game, and one of the street figher games. That should cover all of that. Not huge story wise, but good games none the less and your list seems to be trying to cover all great SNES games.

In other words, this is a "best of snes" thread, with an emphasis on RPGs.
