Secret of Mana series, Mario RPG, Legend of Zelda, Terranigma, Lufia, Earthbound, Breath of Fire, Illusion of Gaia, Secret of Evermore... and I'm missing a lot.
Definitely SNES was a great console for RPGs

    Oh yeah, I remember now...
Shadow Run was on the SNES & the Genesis, but if you ask me, they were two completely different games with the same title

Can't say, never played the Genesis or SNES ones. I have them, though.

Well, you could've made a quick search on the forums before making this thread, but oh well. Tales of Phantasia, Super Mario RPG, Seiken Densetsu 3 and maybe Bahamut Lagoon come to my mind. But the link provided by Evans should be helpful, too.

SNES will always be my favorite RPG system <3, even more so than PSX which was also pretty darn good.

Anyone else feel there were lots of meh RPGs this gen?

Try the Shin Megami Tensei games, there are translated roms out there(never came out in english). Dragon Quest had quite a few titles on SNES. Emrald Dragon was cool, not many people know of it. Romancing SaGa series. Rudra No Hihou was an amazing Square JP only RPG that got translated by some people, same graphic system as FF3/6. Star Ocean :: drool :: great game. Treasure Hunter G(yet another JP only translated game). YS series. Yup all in order love reading from rom lists lol. Hope this helps your addiction.
