Have you played the 360 yet ?

well my friend just played it yesterday for 3 hours and said he was dissapointed

horrible Frame rate slowdowns, alot of aliasing in ridge racer

he works at futureshop and thats why.. they are aloud to take everything and anything for a test run a billion years before it comes out, although i'm not to shure if i can take his word on that. Even though i'm not getting a 360 has anyone else tried it?

Did he try out a kiosk unit or one of those E3 demo units...?

That sould make a difference, I believe... I think the newer units are closer to final hardware, and the demos should run better, but I'm not sure...

It'll be a zillion years before we get stores to offer test plays of games/consoles over here at tittyland...

Ridge racer is not the only game that is going to be available for the 360 so yeah im definitely going to buy my xbox 360

Actually the only thing they'll be doing is finishing off the 1st batch of production for the USA and European markets, so that doesn't really include time for revamping the frame rate of the console.

exactly, so the one that he has isnt an actual production model. So to go by that standard is faulty

My local Wal-Mart has a unit available for play. I've only played through the CoD2 demo, but my opinion is that the Xbox 360 is not worth the price of admission right now.

The graphics aren't spectacular, pretty much on par with modern gaming computers. If you are expecting to be blown away by its graphical power, you may be left wanting. In CoD2, the frame rate is good, and there is plenty of geometric and textural detail, but there is a lot of annoying level of detail popping.

The new controller is nice... I think it is a good blend of the S and Duke. I really disliked the S because of its horrid black/white button placement, but the new controller fixes that with the quad triggers.

i have played it 3 times now... i played the Call of Duty Demo - FUCKING SWEET!! King Kong vs some Trex - CANT BEAT THE TREX and same game but your a guy and you have to have the trex follow you - cant get away from the trex but all in all AWESOME!!

slick, how can you base your decision on the pricing of a next gen system from having only played one demo of one game?

I was at Wal-Mart for almost 3 hours, and 1 1/2 of those hours was on the 360. The system is just awesome, and the controller fits nice and snug in my hand(Unlike the original). I played Kong, and CoD 2. Games are excellent.

My Wal-Mart is a bunch of Nazis. They have it on display and it is on and everything. But the tv isn't turned on that it is connected to.

He works at futureshop and its the actual finished model they have tonnes in stock just waiting for the day when everyone comes to pick up there pre-orders,
also he didnt just play rr there were more but i cant recall

Are there any differences between the PC and 360 versions of CoD2 and King Kong? Because I've played the demos of both, and neither is... well, that extremely good looking as DoA4 previews made me think.
