From what I hear, your PSP firmware needs to be 2.50 or 1.50. I don't know. Has to be a .50. Anyways, after that you take the flash drive memory card and put some boot hacks on it. Again, this is merely from word-of-mouth. I have never really studied it and hopefully what I posted will lead you in the right direction.

It has to be 1.50 or if its 2.00 you'll have to downgrade the firmware with a certain tool which lets you downgrade from 2.00 to 1.50. If your PSP is 2.01 or 2.50 you wont be able to play backups for now.

http://www.psp-hacks.com/ for all your PSP needs. Has a tut on how to downgrade to 1.50 and you need a USB cable and a good sized Duo stick to put the games on, I used Fastloader to play my games as UMDemulator fucks up for me but MysticJin seems o get it to work well.
