need help with my gravis controller...

for the snes emulator... snes9x... i am trying to play tales of phantasia with a gamepad... i'm using a gravis eliminator gamepad, and i just installed the drivers from the gravis site right now, and then i even went to the gravis control panel and configured all buttons on my controller to correspond with the keys on the keyboard, but that didnt even help.... heeelppp pleassee

you need to configure the buttons on the pad for the emulator also, not just the app that is for the pad.
