    Avg 7.5 is the new one the company says it does not support the old one any more but the new one is too slow.

    My solution is the following
    Avira antivir Personal Edition (also free and picks up rootkits as well as viruses and can even be run on a PC with 32 MB of RAM and a 100 Mhz CPU)
    Windows Defender
    Peer Guardian 2
    Ad-Aware
    Advanced Windows Care v2 personal
    Windows Firewall (I know, it blows but it's better than nothing)
