    Default Help with burning

I am trying to burn Breath of Fire 4. I have a .bin file and a .cue file. What do I do now. I tried using fireburner but when I try to load the tracks, it can only find the .cue file. Am I supposed to be using fireburner or something else? Thanks

To burn a cd, use a match or lighter. Although I don't think it'll actually burn, but it might melt. I dunno, never tried it before, anyone?

I'm trying to use cdrwin but am I supposed to burn the .bin file or the .cue file? (both?)
I clicked on the "load cuesheet" button and picked the .cue file but got the following message:
Error: Invalid CUE SHEET command at line 1
Unable to find or open file

When I tried the .bin file I got:
Error: Invalid CUE SHEET command at line 38
    Illegal cuesheet command syntax

    Somebody please help...I'm going crazy

    It's an antique

Anyway, to answer your problem, I know I've said this loads of times, it's almost a cliche now, but...

Open the cue file with notepad, edit the first line:

make sure that instead of something like "c:\my games\joe\yep\FINALFANTASYTACTICS.BIN"

    it should say "FINALFANTASYTACTICS.BIN".

    *ahem* thanks for the 5

I'm not too sure, but I think there could be a couple of things wrong there.

Try turning your CD recorder off and on, and record again (or if you have an internal recorder, reboot).

Try another CDR, preferably one that is 700mb, and high quality.

    Burn slowly, 1x or 2x.

Re-unzip the cue and bin files, bin file could be damaged.

Maybe your CD recorder doesn't support raw writing, or something like that... dunno, it was something with raw if that's the case, download the latest FIRMWARE for your cd driver. (just go to a search engine and type in FIRMWARE and the name of your recorder, you should be able to find it)

If all this fails, I guess you could say that I can't help you further maybe the bin file is bad...
then again, I'm no expert

    Hope it helped though

Ok, I just got some new ideas should the above still not work.

With fireburner you can check if a binfile is correct. Just get Fireburner 1.06 (this version, other versions are terrible! Don't get a higher version than this, this is what you need, ok I'll shut up now ) import the bin file to FB1.06, right click, and press "Scan file for corruption".

If you did that, also try "test burning", see if that works.

hehe, I might come up with more stuff later, but I can't think of more than this right now.

Tovi, thanks for being so helpful. I really really appreciate it. I think that I'm out of luck though.
Now I'm getting this message when I try to burn:
Error: 'START DAO RECORDING' command failed on device 1:1:0
Cuesheet was rejected by the CDROM recorder.

Also when I checked for corruption with fireburner, I got this:
    Checking Mode2/2352 Track 1 from \Playstation\Playstation Isos\Breath Of Fire 4\Breath Of Fire 4.BIN
-M2F1 EDC error detected in sector offset 273749
-M2F1 ECC_P error detected in sector offset 273749
-M2F1 ECC_Q error detected in sector offset 273749
-M2F1 EDC error detected in sector offset 273750
    etc etc etc..........................
    -M2F1 -M2F1 ECC_P error detected in sector offset 274262
-M2F1 ECC_Q error detected in sector offset 274262
At least 1 corrupt sector has been detected in this track
    Checking Mode2/2352 Track 2 from \Playstation\Playstation Isos\Breath Of Fire 4\Breath Of Fire 4.BIN
    Verification failed due to error
Burn or BINChunk this BIN/CUE at your own risk

I figured that I'd cut and paste the errors in wordperfect just to see how many there were. 21 pages! Figured I'd just paste a few in this message

    LOL, DOESN'T LOOK TOO GOOD

Anyways, thanks again. I'd give you another 5 if I could. You don't need to help me anymore...I'm starting to feel like a pest. Just wanted to let you know that it looks like the file is to blame.
