Doesn't explain very much your problem. Try to be mroe precise...
Like when i open a AVI file on my DivX player.
It start's playing slow like the words an actions are way off.

It may be just the divx wasn't ripped/converted right, and the stuff is just out of sync, this has happened to me with a few downloaded eps of stuff.Originally Posted by Lynx

Perhaps you may need to re-install that program again.

Does it to me too, sometimes. And my computer is WAY crappier than yours.
The only solution I have is to either close the program, or use another player. BTW, do remove or put off the screensaver and energy-saving option off for your monitor. Those usually screw my screenings.
And which player are you using?
Divx hates me more than humany possible, probably because it isn't human.
Anyway, Jase gave me Mplayer, which is a DOS based media player capable of playing just about anything you may decide to throw at it, and it does it very well. You might look into it...

well i would recommened you pick up the combined community codec pack or cccp as it is called, stop using divx and switch to media player classic and that should solve your problems.
