    Default Project 64 1.6+ goldeneye 007+FAST PC=poor gameplay

why is goldeneye 007 running slow on my pentium 4 2.4 proc, winfast 6600GT 128 meg video, 512 ddr ram computer?

project 64 1.6 says its using my videocard when i go to its settings.. my video card iz a monster and i know if it can handle games like "advent rising" "doom 3" it should give goldeneye a piggyback ride wit ease..

    video graphics plugin:jacobs direct 3d 8 1.6
    Audio plugin: Jacobs Direct sound

----In Depth Video card settings within project 64s utilization----

    Windowed screen

    resolution:800x600
    anastrophic filtering:off
    full screen antaliasing:off

    everything else is off

i even managed to toy with them, no luck, only slower responses.

    Fin

EDIT: i even obtained 1964, and that ran worse than P64. wutta bummer. I'd like to play dis game, and extract some sound effects from it as well for dis hip hop trak i'm doin. but tuh, da sound iz maad choppy.

Use 1964 and when playing press Ctrl + 2

That should go a lot faster, or Ctrl + 3 if you want a more realistic speed.

CPU is the main thing Goldeneye needs more than anything - feel free to ramp up that res , AA and AF shouldn't slow it either.

It has to do with PJ64 and your cpu, I have an athlon xp 2700+, FX5200 and 512MBs of ram and can run it fine with the settings your using or even 1280x960. Like Del Boy said use 1964 and it should work better since PJ64's core has issues with Goldeneye (and quite a few other games) that cause it to eat up alot of processing power.
