Shoot me, because I'm gonna say Halo for single player, as I don't play FPS games online.
Add Quake 1 to that, because it was fun playing it on LAN against 12 people. DM3 and DM4 were great levels.

It's hard to say here... My experience with newer FPSs is very limited... I haven't even played Quake1 full... That said, my favorite FPS at the moment is Duke Nukem 3D.

I had a lot of good times with goldeneye when it first came out, I'll have to go with that. I'm not really a big FPS'er though.
