    <3 Homura, especially after the latest episode.

    Care to post the original/higher resolution image? Because do want.

    Edit: Nevermind, found it.

    Sorry, I don't often check the desktop thread after I post stuff, or else I would have happily sent it your way.

    I'm so happy that my favorite girl has managed to survive this long. This can't possibly well.

    New month, new desktop.

    Interesting. Auto-resize doesn't work in the submit post advanced mode. :angel;

    Just a simple Ubuntu distro.

    I think it's actually called Lua, but Rainmeter sounds cooler.

    I guess, but Windows is garbage.

    Is that running on a laptop, Quiji? If so, how easy is it to get it running on a laptop and all that jazz?

    I have a spare 60GB SATA HDD I wouldn't mind trying it on to see if it'll work, but I have no idea what version to install. Obviously ubuntu 10.10, but do I get a laptop version of it or what?

    No, it's a desktop computer. I find Ubuntu to be easier to set up than Windows. Or, at least, much quicker. An install might take about 10 minutes, opposed to the several hour Windows install. Ubuntu is a relatively user friendly OS, at least compared to other Linux distros. Unless the laptop is complete crap, go with the x64 desktop edition. But even if it's not as good, still go with the x86 desktop edition. The netbook edition is really only for computers with really small resolutions, so they simplify the interface so it doesn't become to obstructive.

    With the software center, you can just pick applications and they install by themselves. But if you want, say, Opera, a closed source application, it will take some commands in the terminal (command prompt) to install it. The most Windows-based Linux distro is Mint. So basically, unless you want to customize the interface and install things not in the software center, it's incredibly easy.
