Shining Force 2. It was the first RPG I ever played, and I was addicted to it like heroine. The number of characters and the gameplay were just awesome.

Um... You can use up to twelve at once, but I think there's around thirty playable characters in the game.
And I agree, Shining Force II is an absoloutely excellent game, definetly in my top five favourites of all time.
