    Default xenosaga on ds?

Namco is going to release both xenosaga 1 and 2 on the DS?
I'm a little confused why they would want to do this, but how does everyone think this is going to turn out? Just thinking about all that is Xenosaga reduced to a 2-D handheld game leaves me...i dunno...speechless.

The second link contains a trailer to the side. It's not a great one and it's in japanese ,but it gives you a general idea.

Like what more? The fact that it's on a handheld?

Hmm I might get this when it comes out, but unless i get around to playing XS 1+2 from EP roms section then I might not bother.

Hmm... You know after looking at it, it does almost remind me of xenogears.

The game will be sexy. One of the reasons I purchased a DS. You'd be surprised at the power of the handheld actually. It has quite a bit of power, think low end Dreamcast games. Granted PSP is stronger but a lot of people don't seem to realize how strong the DS is. Also those little cards can store up to 2 gigs if made big enough I hear. Obviously it's more expensive and they haven't needed that size yet but still.

Yeah the graphics remind of xenogears (which i loved).

I would have preferred if Square had continued with the series instead of Namco. Square did Xenogears perfectly and Xenosaga just doesn't stand up to it.

Well to be fair Square didn't do anything besides publish Xenosaga

The original team moved to Namco to create Monolith. After Xenosaga one(which IMO did stand up to XG)the original team left.
