Default Do you use the "Adjust screen" feature in your console games ?

Its just what it says. I wanna know how many of you guys use the "Adjust screen" feature in console games, which enables you to adjust the screen. Its sometimes also called "Center Screen" and is usually availble in the options menu inside Video.

I use it in almost every game that I have but unfortunately not all games have the "Adjust Screen" feature. I have a Pal v9 PS2 with a Magic V 50k modchip onboard. No problems with that but almost all of my PS2 games (HK Silvers) are kinda shifted to the right side. Just a little bit....prolly just 3 to 4% of the screen is shifted. Not much of a problem but I always fix it if there is an "Ajust Screen" feature in the game. By the way, almost all of my games are NTSC but I have noticed even PAL games are "shifted". I have a MultiRegion TV which works EXCELLENT.

So I wanna know, do you guys have a similar problem and do you use the "Adjust Screen" feature.

Do you guys think its modchip related or TV related ?

I used to use it every once in a while on our slightly older TV. I don't use it as much now, but sometimes I check to see if there is any of the screen missing there.

No. Useless feature. People who need it should buy better TV's.

I've messed with it, but never really actually used it since all the games I've played worked fine\centered.

That isn't so easy for everyone. There are plenty of people that have the game system but not a good TV. Mainly children in low to medium-low income families.

Yeah. I pity them. Poor them.

I actually have used it. But then I noticed how I screwed things up and set it back to default.

Every once in a while. And it wasn't to center the stuff or any of that. It was mostly for games that I needed to bring the health bars down or something. Like in Ikaruga, how you can choose where you want the gauges to be located.

Erm... No, I usually go into the menu to check if everything's fine, and it always is -- position- and brightness-wise... Factory presets rule!!

I used it on my old TV because the alignment was out of whack and everything was a little too far off to the right.

It's nice when I play a PAL game and they include this feature, other than that no. The TV I have that does need adjusting minorly just makes the top of the screen not 100% invisible. I can manage anyhow.
