I'm not trying to be mean or anything, but...
start listening to some cheery music like Hatebreed, h2o etc. to get cheered up! Life can't all be sad, or, at least, all music can't be all sad!

I'm not very big on the heavy screaming. I also like to listen to music that relates to my life, and this is all music that I can relate to. I like to listen to stuff that also has good flow, and doesn't all sound the same. I find that metal tends to sound the same after a while -- although, depending on the artist, they do manage to get some wickedly awesome riffs in there.

Also, my life is actually pretty sad. So... blah.
