Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons (100%)

Really nifty game, but I didn't like the controls. The puzzles were fun, the story was cool, and the world was actually pretty interesting the way it was presented. Good for a quick afternoon filler game, but not much reason to go back to it ever again.


Rock of Ages (100%)
Outland (100%)

Both of these have been sitting on my HDD for months if not years now, waiting to be completed. When I first played Rock of Ages, the online was broken so I couldn't finish the last trophy (win 10 online games), and I didn't feel like tracking down some random person on the Internet to finish one co-op challenge for Outland for the last trophy there. I hooked up my second PS3 and knocked them both out this evening, so I can finally get rid of them. FYI, playing two consoles at once, not nearly as fun as it sounds.

Having to control two characters at once was really annoying. I had to constantly readjust their positions on screen, because controlling the person on the left side of the screen with the right control stick was driving me insane. They were constantly walking into walls and getting hung up because I couldn't quite get them to follow the same path.

I didn't cry at the end. I think not having any kind of dialogue actually hindered my experience there -- I felt connected to the characters, but not enough that I really felt anything beyond the "oh, well that's too bad" sense of empathy. Having a really good voice-over duo playing the brothers probably would have changed that, but oh well. The dude who tried to kill himself after his family died in the fire felt like a more powerful moment, rather than "the final boss got one unlucky hit in and therefore I am dying."

Finished Raw Danger on Sunday. Great title as I love disaster games, however the localisation left me a bit perplexed. Everyone is blonde in there... Apart from that, the gameplay was like SOS Last Escape/Disaster Report which was good.

Resident Evil 6

Probably not as good as it could have been but nowhere near as bad as some people say it is. With less recycled/repeated chapters and a more inspired setting in general the game would have improved a lot.
It's no RE 4 or 5 but it's still fun.

Bloodrayne Betrayal finished, I liked it quite a bit. Too bad it didn't really start becoming challenging until the last 2-3 chapters of the game, but it was still a fun ride nonetheless. Not the best game ever but it was 10 bucks and delivered what I'd expect from a 10 dollar game.

Resident Evil 5 on PC. Got all trophies, but besides the "block a bowgun arrow with your knife"-bullshit I got them without actively trying.
Really liked the game, Professional difficulty wasn't that bad if not for Sheva's stupid KI always dying or failing to revive you in time -.-

Now I would like to try RE 6 but those reviews aren't that good for the game, aren't they?
