Not Suikoden II or Suikoden V good, but still well worth a go, and a thousand times better than the horror that was Suikoden IV. Thanks, Elmdor.
    That's awesome, man. ^.^

Now, there are a bunch of things in Suikoden III that initially annoyed the hell out of me, such as the reduced party size, the stupid 3D, the lack of Viktor and Flik and finally the retarded strategy fights. A certain wind rune user did, however, happen to be one of my favourite characters which made the whole game much more enjoyable, storywise. Did you get the best ending by the way? It's rather brilliant.. =3

Eh... let's not even mention Suikoden IV. =.=

I don't know you, you're not my friend.

    I'm full of good ideas..

Heh, seems like they removed the best parts from the PSP-version.

Unfortunately no. =( I don't really like to use walkthroughs on my first time through games, so generally it takes me to my second playthrough to get the best ending in the Suikoden games, as I always end up missing at least one star. =P Which sort of sucks. Except in the case of Suikoden II, where I like the sad ending better anyway.

And yeah, III certainly wasn't perfect, but as I played on, I found more and more that I liked about it. By the end, I had had so much fun with it that, for all its flaws, I couldn't possibly say that I didn't like it.

    ...

But they added a crappy strategy part. That, and longer loading times

Armored Core: Nexus. This is the first Armored Core that I have ever actually played from beginning to end. I didn't go through looking for secret parts or anything because I had them all already, but it was damned fun. My supAr broke tank raped ALL ACs and my Lightweight Biped ran through 90% of the missions with ease. <3

Haha, yeah.. it's always one freaking star, isn't it? Although I did actually manage to get them all (in time!) when playing Suikoden III. :>

Oh? I like the war-room ending the best. Uh, nah.. but you're right, it gives you that wonderful Valkyrie Profileish-Tear Eyed-Booboohead feeling.

Hugo is Luca Blight's son, I kid you not! Who did you give the flame rune to, by the way?

Let's add Robotech Battlecry to my list of recently beaten games. I must say I'm curious how such a great anime such as Robotech can spawn such an awful game. The package brags about having anime with beautiful graphics, all it has are a few hand drawn slide shows with the character you're playing as talking. If they could fit real anime videos into Lunar SSS Complete and EB Complete back on the PSX they sure as hell should be able to fit it on a PS2 disc. There's little to nothing to unlock, just a small handfull of mechs, a few paint jobs, and some interviews, no real replay value, in fact I only got about 7 hours of play out of it, and that's after getting stuck on several missions, if I had beaten every mission in one go it probably would've only been about 4. The missions range from incredibly easy to impossibly hard and there are way too many escort missions. Say it with me now gaming industry, WE HATE ESCORT MISSIONS! Now the controls, transforming is a pain they could've done the logical thing and assigned it to the unused L3 or R3 no, they assigned it to the directional buttons so if you want to change you have to hold perfectly still and hope you don't get blown up in the process, and no matter what form you're in it's incredibly slow. I was hoping for a fast paced experience along the lines of Zone of the Enders, not watching a giant robotic snail. I'd be on my way to Game Zone right now to return it if it weren't just five dollars.

Jowy... ;____; I didn't play another RPG for about five months after Suikoden II. That ending ruined me. In a good way.

Sorry, I didn't see this post 'til now. I gave the rune to Chris. I liked her and Hugo quite a bit, but I'd still kind of prefer for there to have been a single lead character. Somehow it didn't feel quite as Suikoden-ish without one.

    And...Hugo, Blight's son? =o That's an um...interesting theory.
