    Default Good Console strategy games?

Well, as I'm sure everyone knows, I am a huge fan of the Super Robot Wars game series, along with many other Japanese strategy games. However, lately it seems they're all running together, and have gotten dull.

Can anyone suggest any strategy games for GBA/PSX/PS2 that are at least close to stuff like Fire Emblem, Super Robot Wars and SD Gundam?

(Edit: They can be English or Japanese.)

You should play Advance Wars 1 and 2 for GBA. They're from the same people who made Fire Emblem so you should check it out.

    Advance Wars series is great.

    GBA -

    Tactics Ogre
    FF Tactics Advance

    PS2 -

    La Pucelle
    Disgaea
    Phantom Brave
    Makai Kingdom
    Namco X Capcom(NTSC-JP)
    Stella Deus
Venus & Braves(NTSC-JP) - Borderline between SRPG and RPG
    Front Mission 4

    PSX :
    Brigandine
    FF Tactics
    Vandle Hearts series
    Front Mission series
    Deception series
    Hoshigami
    Kartia
    Koudelka - Borderline again
    Tactics Ogre
    Vanguard Bandits

    What? I like SRPG's okay?

Of course there's probably more and a bunch I forgot to list.

Heh, alright. Any others for the PS2? And, try to keep them like war based things rather than cutesy things like La Pucelle.

Neon Genesis Evangelion for Nintendo64 (Japanese only)
    Tactics Ogre, PSX
Kartia, PSX (the reviews on this game DO NOT do it justice)
    Front Mission series: SNES #1, #2, PSX #1 (J), PSX #2 (J), PSX #3 (US), and the current Front Mission 4 (PS2).

    in other words....what ultrninja said

You can't go wrong with Front Mission 4, especially if you dig mecha action, which I think you should if you enjoy Super Robot Wars. The only other war SRPG I can think of is Kessen, but that was horrible so you're better off staying away from anything related.

Are you talking about the long-never-finished Langrisser II translation project?
