PSP firmware 2.0 released in the US

I won't update just yet. The new version of snes9xTYL was released yesterday and well, I only have one PSP game and cannot afford more at the moment. So I'm playing loads of SNES games instead.

However, once I'm getting tired of all emulation, have monay and more than a single gmae, I will update.

Wow, it now includes a low resolution web browser. I'm sold!

I have a nice laptop if I want play emulators portable so I don't care about updateing. I mostly just play my PSP at home (i know that defeats the purpose of a portable). 2.0 added more then just a web browser (the ability to use a picture for your PSP wallpaper is another new feature along among other things) it's not meant to sell more PSPs it just makes more features available to people who already own it.

I was thinking of getting a psp but I think I might just get a laptop not a nice one just like a 100$ one and play some emus on that like nes snes stuff like that. Because a psp Id probly never play the actual psp games so I think it would be kind of a waste. So...also doesnt the new firmware protect from emulators?

Well, I don't have it yet. But I was at a convention or something like that of Sony last week, and they gave us a pretty offer, just for personel (like dudes who work in shops)
It comes with:
The PSP Valuepack, so all that shit like a headset,
UMD movie Up in Smoke Tour
UMD movie Hitch
Game Wipeout Pure
and a 512MB memory card.

For the normal store price, so I'll pay �250, if you buy everything seperatly, you'll pay around �400, and I probably won't upgrade it, since I like to "back-up" my games

if it's a new PSP it will already be updated to 1.51 or 1.52 locking out homebrew. If your talking about the europe release it will come with 2.0 already on it.

at least not yet who knows in the future it could be cracked. A lot of people thought 1.5 would never be cracked and guess what it was just give it time and someone is bound to find a flaw.

Except how they havent found a flaw in the other 2 releases yet :\ Its gunna take a bit longer i would think, and possibly a hardware mod which id prefer

and by the time they find a flaw in 2.0 they will have already released the next upgrade...
