This is tough. The best games ever are particular to one's taste in this topic. Most people are listing their favorite games and not neccessarily "the" best games. I can't say what is good and what isn't, but I will list some of the best series of all time alphabetically.

Magus is right, ppl are listing their favorite games, but I don't think there is a thing such as the best games, it all depends on personal taste. Oh, and noone could possibly have played ALL games on earth, so it's a bit unfair right there. The games I wrote up there are probably my favorite, I can't think of anything else right now.

I forgot one all time great. Kirby's Adventure for the NES. The best GFX on NES if you ask me. A little easy but great game.

One of the best games ever in my opinion would be none other than good ol' mario himself! He's always been the nintendo mascot and well, you can't deny, everyone loves him Sonic is cool too!
And yes, it does depend on personal taste..
