    Default Can't get Rondo of Blood running correctly

    I've read the set up guide here on the forums, converted all the mp3s into wav files, and the cue sheet seems to be working fine with Virtual Daemon. The problem lies when I try to actually play the game using Magic Engine.
    After going to "Boot CD" and selecting "System Card 3.0" I get a screen that seems to be a sort of debug menu for the audio, I think. Here's a screen shot.

    I have no idea how to get into the game, and this menu doesn't seem to do anything. My cue sheet is as follows:

    FILE DRACX_01.WAV WAVE
    TRACK 01 AUDIO
    INDEX 01 00:00:00
    FILE DRACX_02.ISO BINARY
    TRACK 02 MODE1/2048
    PREGAP 00:03:00
    INDEX 01 00:00:00
    FILE DRACX_03.WAV WAVE
    TRACK 03 AUDIO
    PREGAP 00:02:50
    INDEX 01 00:00:00
    FILE DRACX_04.WAV WAVE
    TRACK 04 AUDIO

    Hmmm, it looks like the times on the PREGAPs are offset a few seconds here and there, and it could be throwing the whole flow of the ISO outta whack. DL and unzip this cue attached below and try it, it is an exact duplicate of the one on the Snk-Nec TOC Database site. Also the image you posted is what the CD player menu on a real TG-16/PC Engine would look like, not unlike the menu on the SEGA CD console.

    hm, nope, still can't get it running right. I'm supposed to mount the cue file onto Virtual Daemon, correct?
    I also tried the BitTorrent file and the same happens. I have no idea why.

    Is your emulator set up to read from the daemon virtual drive? Check the PCE.ini file in the emulator's folder. Open it with Notepad and make sure it's pointing to the right one, you'll find the settings all the way almost at the bottom of the file.

    I'm pretty sure it's configured correctly.

    drive=E

    ;
    ; CD-ROM drive letter
    ; --
    ; (Windows 2000/XP only)
    ;
    ;
    ; E:
    ; ...
    ;

    It should be okay, with my Daemon Driver configured as E.

    I don't know if it's unrelated, but my computer reads the cue sheets as audio cds.

    It should appear this way. Try to start the game with Magic System 3 instead of System Card 3.

    I tried that, but it just says there's no CD. Oh well, I guess I'll just burn it. What would be recommended?

    I don't recommend burning it if it doesn't even work with Daemon Tools.

    well, I'm stumped as to why it's not working then. I'm pretty sure the setup's right.

    Im also having some trouble getting the game to run correctly. Everything runs fine but there is no sound. I really dunno why cuz I turned the files from mp3 to wav and used the .cue file that came with the iso to mount the image on alcohol, but I just dont get any sound. COuld it be the emulator?

    Hey guys, are you mounting the .cue? Apparently that should work. I haven't used Magic Engine in awhile, but I semi-remember mounting the .cue sheet in Daemon's Tools when I tried to run Rondo. Eh, I'm probably way off base though. That or I have my emulators crossed. Try it though.

    Enable the Analog Sound option in Daemon tools. I remember Zorlon telling me a while back that this needs to be enabled in order for the PCE ISOs to have sound.

    I'm mounning the cue in Daemon, but it still says there's no CD in the drive when I use Magic Engine. Maybe there's something wrong in my particular setup. I'm looking through it to see...

    okay! I got it to work! I changed not only the drive= line, but also the drive_letter= line, and it worked. Odd.

    AHA! Nothing odd about that, it makes perfect sense. I have a DVD and CD drive, plus the virtual drive, making 3 in total, so then the pce.ini settings look like this...
