need help burning playstation 1+2 games

hi!
i�m really new at burning playstation games...
thing is i downloaded some games for ps1 and burned them on cd.
they work on an emulator (pcsx, flarestorm) but won�t work in a modified ps2.
i don�t now why... oh yeah it�s one of the first ps2. don�t have the serialnumber, but it�s got to be the v30004 series i believe.
i don�t have any problems with games in (bin + cue) format, but
another problem i have is burning games in (ccd + cue + img + sub) format.
when i burn with clonecd and put the cd in my pc it shows two cds (one being an audio cd????) and emulator won�t boot the game. when i want to burn with alcohol120% i have to choose between cue or ccd. which one should i choose?
oh and one more regarding clonecd...
after choosing the img what kind of cd do i choose? data-disc? game-disc?
i know these questions must seem really dull to some of you, but
nevertheless i hope you can help me solving my problems.

As far as I know, the majority of PS2 modchips only play backup PS2 games. They're not generally compatible with burnt PS1 games. The good news is you can buy PS2 modchips that are compatible with them, although it depends if you're willing to spend more money on another one. I have no idea which modchip you have but that may well be the problem. If yours is compatible though, the only advice I can really give is to burn your games at the lowest speed possible. I also presume you should use the Cue option in Alcohol120% since the majority of ISO's you download come with Cue sheets. Hope this helps.
